Stout Pounders

Stout Pounders is a Seattle based Irish Folk / Celtic Rock band. Since 2007, the band has brought new energy to time tested Scottish and Irish Folk music while mixing in originals with influences ranging from ska to metal. Stout Pounders are great for pub atmospheres or large festivals. The band plays regularly around Seattle and has been the house band of the Seattle St. Patrick's Day Dash since 2009.

The Whiskeydicks

Celtic-World-Party-Folk-Rockers The Whiskeydicks brew fiery fiddle, titillating trumpet, giddy guitar, busty bass, delicious drums, and a quaffable quartet of voices to tell legends of good times past, and infuse classic songs in ways one would never imagine. Since their humble beginnings busking their original tunes outside a Vancouver liquor store in 1st year music school, for money to burn at said liquor store, The Whiskeydicks have showcased their contagious enthusiasm and eclectic sound at festivals such as Woodford Folk Festival in Australia, the Southeast Alaska State Fair, Celtic Fest Vancouver, Galway Bay Irish Music Festival in Washington State, PaddyFest Havasu, Sunstroke Festival in Whitehorse, ScotFest BC, Harmony Arts Vancouver, Whistler Beer Festival, and on tour from Hawaii to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Florida.

Sean Daly and the Shams

“Sham” means “dude” back home where Sean grew up, and he felt it would be a fitting name, a homage to his childhood, and a coming of age for his music and the band he formed. Finding inspiration in the songs of his childhood Sean looked to his heroes, The Irish Brigade, The Wolfe Tones, The Dubliners, Rory Gallagher, and the Pogues. He collected songs and memories, forming a new generation of Rebel Rock. The Shams are an eclectic group of musicians with breadth and depth of experience, and a passion for music, blending folk, punk, rock, and traditional sounds, creating a unique musical experience. From an intimate night in a pub to the main stage of the American Music Hall, The Shams bring energy and passion to every set, every song, and every note.

Stark Raving Plaid

Stark Raving Plaid is an exciting Celtic rock band that brings smiles, dancing, laughter and energy wherever they go. There is a strand of Celtic pride that comes from honoring ancient tradition with an infusion of musical irreverence, fun and mischief. Centuries old songs can sound fresh and their own new material is right at home with the pub classics. They are familiar and approachable like an invitation to join new friends at the bar but dazzlingly accomplished and sophisticated in their musical craft.

The Long Dark

The Long Dark was born out of Seattle's long established session scene. After years playing together at various Celtic music session, Christine Traxler, Cameron St. Louis, Drake Caraker, Lennart Jansson, and Kríostóir Clements came together to experiment with the session format. With influences coming from Scottish folk music as well as the ambient brooding sounds of bands like Sigur Ros and Radiohead, The Long Dark approached traditional Celtic music and tunes as text to be translated, understood, and interpreted and presented as something new and fresh, simultaneously familiar and strange.

Cavort

CAVORT will take you on an energetic Celtic journey of perilous passages, hooch-hiding, romantic indecisiveness, and beer. Since 2015 our fiddle, whistle, guitar and bodhran have entertained audiences with hearty pub songs and vigorous instrumentals. The result will make you click your heels in musical joy.

Seattle Irish Dance Company

Seattle Irish Dance Company aims to inspire and develop community for Irish dance performers and audience-members. We’re passionate about the idea that dance is for everyone; whether its challenging and empowering adult dancers to continue training outside of the competitive world of Irish dancing, getting audience members up and dancing at the pub, or offering safe spaces to develop dance skills through our workshops. The company was founded in 2012 by sisters Carlye and Kelsi Cunniff, Margery Pulkkinen and Taryn Farley. SIDC was founded as a Seattle-based professional performance company that enables Irish dancers to perform professionally without sacrificing other full-time career ambitions. Though founded in Seattle, we’ve grown beyond the city - our dancers live across the Pacific Northwest, and we travel near and far to perform and teach.

Puget Sound Firefighters

Pipes and Drums

Since the beginning, we have had one mission: to honor our fallen brothers and sisters. The purpose of the band is and always has been to continue the prideful tradition of the Celtic influence in our profession, by providing respectful remembrances of our fallen. The band consists of a couple dozen members, representing more than a dozen departments from around the Puget Sound area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization who rely heavily on fundraising and donations to continue our cause.

We can often be found playing at fire academy graduations, fire service retirements, fun fundraising events, local parades, and so on.

An Daire Academy of Irish Dance was founded in 2003 by the husband & wife team of Jim Mueller and Lauren Crowe-Mueller.   Like the oak tree from which the name comes, the school has branches throughout the western region.  In 2005, An Daire Academy opened up the Wenatchee, WA location. In 2012, Angela Schaub joined the teaching staff in Wenatchee and received her TMRF in 2020.  Our dancers learn the benefits of hard work, strong character, and deep roots in an environment focused on family, fun, and fitness. We offer opportunities for self-improvement through dance exams, performances, and competitions. Come see what we are about. We would love to meet you!
